How to Play Lotto-India

Online

To play Lotto India, select six numbers between 1 and 50 and one Joker Ball between 1 and 5. Entries cost ₹40 per panel. You win prizes by matching your numbers with those randomly selected in the Lotto India draw; match all six numbers and the Joker Ball to win the jackpot. Matching fewer than all six balls will still win you a prize as long as you match three or more.

The Free Bet Bonus gives you a chance to win a free entry into another Lotto India draw; all you have to do to win it is match the Joker Ball. Ok pinochle. The table below shows all the prizes on offer:

6 + Joker1 in 79,453,500₹4 Crore

1 + Joker1 in 12Free Bet Bonus
0 + Joker1 in 11Free Bet Bonus
Overall odds of winning a Lotto-India prize: 1 in 3
Overall odds of winning a Free Bet: 1 in 5

These prizes allow the operators of Lotto India to give away a huge jackpot prize, along with three extra levels of prizes, for a very low ticket cost. If you match between two and five numbers as well as the Joker Ball, you still win a payout larger than your entry fee.

You will be contacted by email if you win a prize, and also by telephone if you win the jackpot. Smaller prizes are paid directly into your online account, where you can choose to withdraw the money to your bank account or use it to purchase entries to future draws. The jackpot is paid by bank transfer after verification checks have been conducted.

Bumper Draws

Occasionally, Lotto India holds special Bumper Draws, in which the usual jackpot prize is boosted even higher, up to ₹40 Crore. You enter Bumper Draws exactly the same way you would any standard draw, and tickets cost the same.

Bumper Draws aren’t scheduled for any specific date – they will be announced on the Lotto India website in advance. Bookmark the Media page to find out when the next Bumper Draw is due to take place.

The first ever Lotto india draw took place on Friday 14th June and was, itself, a Bumper Draw with a jackpot of ₹10 Crore.

Powerball Prizes

To win the Powerball jackpot, all of the numbers you have selected must match the winning numbers. If there are no winners in a draw, the top prize rolls over to the following game. It increases quickly from draw to draw and has climbed higher than $500 million several times in the past.

If you fail to match the full winning line, you can still pick up prizes for matching fewer numbers. There are nine categories altogether - the following table shows the value of prizes in each one and the odds of winning.

Prize CategoryOdds of WinningPrize Value
Match 5 + Powerball1 in 292,201,338Jackpot

Match 3 + Powerball1 in 14,494$100

Match 2 + Powerball1 in 701$7
Match 1 + Powerball1 in 91$4

The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24

The jackpot can be claimed as a lump sum or as an annuity over 29 years. With the annuity option, you receive 30 annual payments which gradually increase over time until you have eventually received the full advertised amount. The lump sum is a lower value as it represents the cash value of the jackpot at the time you win.

Power Play

The Power Play feature gives you the chance to win much bigger prizes in the lower categories. The jackpot payout can’t be increased if you match all of the numbers, but win any other amount and it will be boosted.

A multiplier is selected at random alongside the main draw to determine how much your prize will be increased. The exception is the ‘Match 5’ category – if you win in the second tier your prize will be doubled to $2 million regardless of which Power Play number is selected.

All other non-jackpot prizes will be increased by a multiple of 2, 3, 4 or 5 times if you have added the Power Play and win. The following table shows the odds of each Power Play multiplier coming into effect:

Power Play MultiplierOdds of Being Drawn
2x1 in 1.75
3x1 in 3.23
4x1 in 14
5x1 in 21

When the advertised jackpot is less than $150 million, a 10x multiplier can come into effect. Here are the odds of each one being selected when the 10x multiplier is in the draw.
